League One clubs Bradford, Millwall and MK Dons are all interested in signing Watford midfielder Sean Murray on loan, The Football Pyramid understands.

The Hornets midfielder has been way out of favour at Vicarage Road, having not featured for Watford’s first-team since the 2014/15 season.

And with midfield options in abundance for Walter Mazzarri this season, Murray’s prospects of featuring in the Premier League still appear extremely slim.

The third tier clubs are all hopeful of securing a temporary deal for the former Republic of Ireland under-21 international, who may be tempted to move for regular game time.

Murray was once an exciting upcoming talent at Vicarage Road when he burst on the scene in 2011, going on to score 11 goals in 75 games over the next three seasons in Hertfordshire.

But recent seasons he has found himself down the pecking order, which saw him move to League One champions, Wigan, last season in search for match minutes.

Murray, we are told, is hopeful of securing a Championship move this summer, ahving been unable to force his way into plans at Vicarage Road.

But a return to the third tier could materialise with clubs queing up for the Watford midfielder.
